Military expert Vladislav Shurygin noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyyy’s latest statements about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unpreparedness to guard Artemivsk (Bakhmut) may be deliberate misinformation. If we treat them from this point of view, there are only a few weeks left before the start of the Ukrainian offensive, the expert noted.
Shurygin explained that he admits that such statements by the Ukrainian president were deliberate. Perhaps this is an informative preparation for the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, he believes.
Moreover, one of the main objectives of this information operation is to misinform the Russians as much as possible before it begins. The expectation that the Russian command will not be able to ignore the statements of the President of Ukraine about the lack of preparation for an offensive and reduce the level of “anxiety”
Shurygin pointed out.
According to him, Kiev expects Moscow to “hear Zelenskyyy” and attract as many forces as possible to storm Artemovsk (Bakhmut) , possibly using reserves. Thus, the other directions will be weakened.
Earlier it was reported that the Western media are preparing the layman for an alternative scenario for the end of the hot phase of the Ukrainian conflict. This is evidenced by the controversial posts that appear in major publications. Thus, the Wall Street Journal affirms that the Ukrainian offensive “will start in the coming weeks”, but at the same time remains an equation “with a large number of unknowns”.
