From the city of Al Khor, it was a newspaper "the East" In the hospitality of his father, Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Muraikhi, which was converted into the Heritage Revival Center in the city with the approval of the Ministry of Culture. From the first moment of entering the majlis, pictures, artifacts and decorations that recall the fragrant past and the people of the sea in the city of Al Khor are scattered, through the beautiful majlis decorations that convey the feeling of the past. And I discussed "the East" With the pioneers of the council, several themes, including Ramadan in the ancient and modern creek, and the Ibrahim Bin Ali Center for the Revival of Heritage. Jassim bin Ibrahim: book "old creek" We are tired. Researcher Jassim bin Ibrahim Al-Muraikhi spoke about writing the book Al-Khor Al-Kadimah, saying: " Writing books is not an easy process that requires many sources of information as well as financial support, and searching for the elderly who lived through that period. We started our work in complete secrecy, in order not to disturb the issuance of the book because everyone has a certain point of view, and we were concerned to publish a book about the ancient city of Al Khor (1850-2000) and the heritage treasures and information it contained, because no book like ours had been published, so we rolled up our sleeves and started Searching for sources of information and making interviews with the elderly". added: "In the book, we focused on the father, Ibrahim bin Ali, because he possesses a treasure trove of information, especially since he was over 95 years old before his death, but he had a strong and present memory. Al-Khor, in the Book of Treasure, and after researching, checking, and referring to sources, historical references, documents, and the hadith of the narrators with whom we met, as well as some interviews in local newspapers, magazines, and some books, we collected them and then indexed them, and we wrote about the city of Al-Khor every in and out, and after we finished writing the book It was officially approved for printing by the official authorities, and despite its release in 2020, we received several responses praising the information and the issuance of a book about the city, and we received calls from well-known personalities in the city in support of this huge historical work, and we faced a fierce campaign on social media from some. Researcher Jassim Al-Muraikhi concluded his speech by saying: " We benefited from some remarks by intellectuals and honorable men of the creek, and about the reason for the disappearance of copies from libraries, researcher Jassim Al-Muraikhi explained that copies of the book ran out of the market in less than two weeks, and not as it was rumored that the book was stopped, and we are now busy printing a new revised and developed copy It contains new amendments and meetings, rich information, and new pictures about the city of Al-Khor. For your information, the Ministry of Culture recently took it upon itself not to stop books except in what contradicts religion and morals, and this encouraged an increase in the number of Qatari writers and the enrichment of the Qatari library.". Sultan Al-Muraikhi: A special character of Ramadan in the ancient creek. Researcher Sultan bin Ibrahim Al-Muraikhi talked about "Sideburns and memories" Ramadan in the old city of Al Khor, saying: " In the city of Al-Khor, the society is coherent and interdependent, and they are all one family that has lived for a long time, each loving the other, and I will talk about the society of the thirties and forties of the last century, quoting the hadith of the father Ibrahim Al-Muraikhi, may God have mercy on him, who says that with the approach of the blessed month of Ramadan, people in Doha were circulating news about The date of the start of the holy month, and this news comes to the people of Al-Khor, as that era was prosperous and teeming with the movement of ships coming from outside Qatar and the commercial activity and going to pearl diving". He continued: "In the past, the means of transportation were ferries (small ships), riding animals, walking and walking to reach Doha, as there were no cars at that time. "Owls"It is a type of specialized ship that comes to Doha from Iran loaded with goods pertaining to Ramadan. We go to Doha, where we had five ferries in the city of Al-Khor, and we bring women and our wives with us before Ramadan. The (Khin) in the ship was allocated to women only, while the men had their place on the deck of the ship. And after completing the provisions of the month of Ramadan in Souq Waqif and buying from the markets coming from Iran, where Iranian merchants are present and we buy from them "wheat flour" Rough, then we go back with the ships coming up the creek". added: "After bringing the raw flour from Doha, women from the family and neighbors gather in the house before Ramadan, and they grind the flour with a mill, and each helps the other until the process of finishing the flour. "groan"And there were no stoves, but they used firewood and knee (grass roots) that they brought from the north of the creek by "Fellowship". And he recounted in his interesting speech by saying: " As for the daily breakfast table, the focus is on (porridge), mash, and rice. As for sweets, they are eaten after finishing breakfast, such as sago, starch, and luqaimat. It was preceded by a period of exchanging dishes between neighbors and relatives, which starts after the Asr prayer and continues even before breakfast, and the food that comes to us From the neighbors, it has a special and delicious taste. We exchanged the dishes and gave them to the neighbors and relatives, and they returned the dishes with what they had of their food.". He explained that one of the ancient habits of the people of Al-Khor is reading the Qur’an aloud so that passers-by and the people of the town can hear them on the tracks of their home or their free, because they are affected by reading the Qur’an, because most of them do not read and feel pleasure and reassurance when hearing the Qur’an, and they go to mosques to hear the voices of the reciters, as well That the muezzin used to ride on the minaret because it is high and raise the call to prayer loudly so that the fasting people could hear it, and the children would run to their homes quickly and convey the news of breakfast time and hear the sound of the call to prayer to their families at home because there were no microphones. added: "I also made sure to educate my children from childhood on our customs and traditions, and instilled in them interest in the teachings of Islam and keenness to pray in congregation in the mosque, to memorize, recite and write the Noble Qur’an, to fast from childhood, and to uphold the ties of kinship, because education at a young age is like engraving on a stone.". Since Sultan Al-Muraikhi is a distinguished researcher, the conversation touched on the difficulties facing Qatari authors of books, saying: " There is no doubt that we, as Qatari researchers and authors of books, faced great difficulties and suffering like the rest of the authors, during our writing of the treasure book that talks about heritage and diving in Qatar, but with determination, persistence and challenge we finished the book, which also monitors the experience of the father Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Muraikhi in diving and sea life and their suffering in During that period, especially since pearl diving was the main source of income for the people of Qatar before the advent of oil". He continued: "Most of the men used to go diving, and during the diving season, the city of Al-Khor was almost devoid of the presence of men because of their search for their sources of livelihood, and we also faced the problem of scarcity of sources and information, the disappearance of sources, especially the narrators, and the departure of the elderly who lived through that period, and it took us about 10 years to search for Sources of information, especially in writing a book "Al Khor Old Town"which required great effort and hard work from us, as well as the author’s need for financial support that we need for printing and other matters related to writing the book ".

Ghanim Al-Muraikhi: Activities to teach young people about the heritage of the people of Al-Khor "We are preparing for a period before the start of the month of Ramadan, to welcome this holy month, the month of blessings, goodness, communication, the month of mercy, forgiveness, and reading the Qur’an. We also motivate our sons and daughters and take them with us to shop with the required needs, so that we can accustom them from childhood to the Ramadan atmosphere and fasting. We also buy from Souq Waqif the lighthouse and some accessories from our heritage. . added: " We decorate the house and make decorations for the Ramadan atmosphere and all the people of the house. We involve them in these preparations and live them, by receiving this great guest, which is the month of Ramadan and its status among Muslims. We also teach them what to do in the month of Ramadan and we urge them to fast and perform prayers in congregation in the mosque, worship, uphold ties of kinship, visit relatives and family, and all This is reflected in our children, as we teach them from childhood, and we prepare them to receive this holy month, so we teach them how Ramadan was in the past, to link the past with the present, and we remind them of the enchantment how it was and its mission, especially the famous enchantment (Al-Ghamri) that was in the city of Al-Khor, as well as how the night of Garangao was, and how People were sharing Ramadan dishes". He continued: "We visit the councils with the youth to learn from them the etiquette of the councils and benefit from the experiences of the elderly.". Ghanim Al Muraikhi explained that the Ibrahim Bin Ali Center for the Revival of Heritage in Al Khor made a tremendous effort to revive the heritage of parents and grandparents in Qatar. How to raise the sail, how to swim, and how to dive on pearls. They also participated in local and foreign championships and won many titles. And he said: "We participated in organizing a tournament "for his lavishness"and the Libreth Maritime Festival, and we trained more than 350 people, young and old, to participate in this festival, and we contributed to many community activities, especially our idea of promoting hosting the Doha Olympics 2016, and we carried out a youth campaign to walk on foot from the creek to Doha, and we completed the march successfully and this The idea of the father because in the past they used to walk to Doha on foot, and our reception from the parents and the supervising committee was great in Souq Waqif". Muqalled bin Sultan: We organize daily entertainment and religious programs on behalf of the youth group. The young Muqalled bin Sultan al-Muraikhi spoke, saying: "Ramadan is the month of fasting and the abundance of acts of worship and obedience, and we as young people are keen to perform prayers in congregation, fast, read the Qur’an, have ties of kinship, visit relatives, and pray Tarawih. It is open to all, and we carry out scheduled cultural, recreational, religious and sports programmes, and we play football and various sports at Al Furjan Stadium."He added: " We collect money to play in one of the Al Furjan courts, and we are keen to practice rowing three times a week, and my uncles and father trained us for a long time – especially on Bin Ghannam Island – they explain and teach us to participate in rowing races and they opened a majlis for us in order for us to learn all Something, and the most important thing is that we make sure to read the Qur’an and make stamps like the customs of our people". He continued: "I also learned life matters from my father, such as the love of science and the teachings of Islam, to the extent that he used to teach us from a young age how to write the Qur’an in the manner of our sheikh and the grandfather of Al-Muraikhat, Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al-Muraikhi, who wrote the oldest copy of the Holy Qur’an in the city of Zubara more than 200 years ago. A book was issued in his name by Katara, as well as placing his name on one of the schools in Qatar, and there is a mosque in the southern city of Khalifa named after him". He concluded by saying: "Our father used to prepare calligraphy brochures for us to teach us. He also instilled in us the love of heritage through his authoring of several books, including the ancient creek and the treasure. He provided us with cultural and heritage information, as well as our customs, traditions, and popular heritage. I have a large store of information. Ghabgas at the end of Ramadan".
