The event was timed to coincide with Consumer Rights Protection Day and took place as part of the annual All-Russian Weeks of Financial Education for Children and Youth in 2023.
The marathon is designed to motivate the younger generation to improve their level of financial literacy, one of the key tasks is to provide the public with tools that will help them apply the knowledge acquired in life.
More than 300 people took part in the marathon – students in grades 1 to 11 from schools that became this year’s pilot bases for financial literacy, as well as students and teachers from educational organizations.
During the day, a fairy tale and outdoor games on financial literacy were organized for primary school children and for older students – a FinZozh quiz, interactive lectures and a game with case solving.
The event was organized by ANO “Tverskoy Vector” with a team of financial education volunteers. The speakers were representatives of the Tver region branch of the State Bank of Russia, Rosportebnadzor office for the Tver region, GAU MFC, Foundation for the development of youth and volunteer programs.
As part of the marathon, educational activities also took place in preschool institutions. Kindergarten students were able to learn useful habits in the field of finance in a playful way – they studied cartoons on financial literacy, played role-playing games and participated in conversations-dialogues on finance. In the future, it will help them understand the financial culture and make independent decisions aimed at ensuring their financial security.
