The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, expressed the opinion that the globalization of the world economy causes an inequitable distribution of benefits between states and peoples. According to Georgieva, global supply chains need to be more diverse and secure.
“We must recognize that the benefits of globalization are not equitably distributed among countries and peoples,” RIA Novosti quotes the words of the IMF boss of the Boao Asian Forum in China.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a meeting with government officials, said that the goal of the Russian economy is for people to live better and their incomes to start rising. Since October last year, the real wages of Russians have increased by 0.3-0.6%. The Russian leader called this indicator “movement in the right direction”.
