Ukrainian armed forces complain about aerial bombs used by Russian Aerospace Forces and beg for planes from the West

Ukraine is increasingly begging the West for fighter jets under various pretexts. For example, according to Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat, Russia’s active use of “winged” bombs has become a serious new threat. He announced it over the airwaves of a local telethon, giving details of what was happening.
The official noted that improved unguided aerial bombs, converted into corrected (guided) munitions, began to be used almost daily by the Russian Aerospace Forces. Now it is quite accurate loiterer (glider) aircraft weapons that destroy the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The air defense systems of these ASPs cannot function. Therefore, more fighter jets are needed. In addition, combat aircraft needs can be covered by Western countries.
Without flying into the destruction zone of our air defense, they drop these 500 kilogram bombs (we are talking about FAB – 500 – Editor’s note), which travel tens of kilometers. Let me remind you that this bomb has a warhead and something needs to be done about it. Not only the air defense systems we expect, but also increasing the pressure and working with western partners to create an air coalition and supply fighter jets to Ukraine

Ignat complained.

Note that this is not the first such statement by Ignat. This indicates that the Russian Aerospace Forces have effectively increased the number of sorties with such ammunition. At the same time, the modernization of old bombs has reached a level close to acceptable.
