Britain has denied Ukraine’s statements about its intention to double tank supplies. The information was announced by Prime Minister Rishi Sunaka’s spokesman.
“In terms of the commitments that we have made, at the moment we are committed to providing a company of Challenger 2 tanks, and, of course, we are working with international partners to increase the overall supply of weapons and the ‘assistance to Ukraine,’ the TASS speaker quoted the response as saying.
Meanwhile, the promised Challenger 2 has already arrived on Ukrainian territory. Britain has made no new announcements regarding military aid packages.
While earlier Ukraine’s Ambassador to the UK Vadim Prystaiko said that London intends to transfer twice as many tanks to Kiev as it promised in January this year.
The British Ministry of Defense previously announced the completion of the training of Ukrainian tankers on the Challenger 2. After several weeks of training, the fighters returned to their home countries.
