A retrospective of Alexandre Mitta’s films will be held in Moscow

From April 5 to April 16, fans of Mitta’s work can see the canvases “How Tsar Peter Married Married”, “The Tale of Wanderings”, “The Crew”, “Burn, Burn, My Star”. On the day of the start of the retrospective, the son of an outstanding filmmaker, Evgeny Mitta, will answer questions from the audience and talk about the process of making the films.Alexander Naumovich Mitta celebrated his 90th birthday on March 28.

She called this story about Paul I, which combined prose text by Dmitry Merezhkovsky and poetry by Yevgeny Simonov, “an unhistorical myth.” There are some references to the tragedy “Hamlet” by W. Shakespeare in the performance, since Emperor Paul was called the Russian Hamlet.
