Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

UK expects crime to rise over arms supply to Ukraine

In the UK, crime is set to rise due to the supply of weapons to Ukraine, writes the founder of the National Ballistic Intelligence Service, Paul James, in an interview with the Telegraph.

In his view, the result of these supplies will be an increase in organized crime in the UK. According to him, in the vast majority of shootings, mainly among young offenders, weapons appear that have been transformed into firearms or previously decommissioned weapons.

James said that previously the confrontation in the Balkans was one of the reasons for the increase in arms smuggling into Europe. According to him, because of Ukraine, even more contraband, if not more, could enter the European arms market.

Earlier, the head of the UK’s National Crime Agency, Graham Biggar, warned of the risk of weapons falling into the hands of terrorists for Kiev.
