Death of Vladlen Tatarsky. What they write about the explosion in a cafe in St. Petersburg, which killed a military commander

War correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky was killed in St. Petersburg. He was the victim of an explosion in a café where a meeting of the discussion club “Cyber Z Front” was held. In the very first hours after the assassination attempt, many Russian politicians and journalists, including military correspondents, talked about Tatarsky (real name Maxim Fomin). The Eastern Herald has gathered some opinions.

Denis Pushilin, acting head of the DPR

Great patriot of Donbass and Russia, military correspondent Maxim Fomin, better known under the pseudonym of Vladlen Tatarsky, has died. Ignoredly killed. Terrorists cannot do otherwise. The Kiev regime is a terrorist regime. To be destroyed, otherwise – do not stop.
A man with a difficult destiny, Vladlen earned the respect of his comrades in arms because he lived and worked for truth and justice, for Victory. He managed to fight, and in the status of military correspondent to make his contribution.
We drew up the documents to present Vladlen for an award – the medal “For the Liberation of Mariupol”. Unfortunately, they did not have time to deliver her during her lifetime … The bright memory of the military commander. Sincere condolences to family and friends.

Alexey Zhuravlev, leader of the Rodina party, deputy of the LDPR faction in the State Duma

In St. Petersburg, one of the most famous Russian military correspondents, Vladlen Tatarsky, was killed, moreover, it was done brazenly and designed in such a way as to cause maximum damage – an explosion in a cafe, at the as a result of which at least 16 people were injured. There is no doubt that this is the work of Ukrainian special services. I demand that Ukraine be recognized as a terrorist state, with all the ensuing consequences. That any transaction with this country should henceforth be qualified as the financing of terrorism, and nothing else

Daniil Bezsonov, First Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR

Our brother Maxim Fomin (Vladlen Tatarsky) passed away. Killed in war. Yes, for people at this level, the war does not stop at the front, it accompanies everywhere… We could agree or disagree with Max, he always said what he thought, often with sharpness, boldly, but he was what he is and did not try to someone you will like him.
Probably, few people know his story, which characterizes this man and makes him respect him. In 2014, when the war came to Donbass, Max was in prison for the mistakes of his youth. He was offered to go to the front and wash away his guilt with blood, which he did.

After a few years, the prison system remembered him and he was brought back to the same prison. Simply, vilely … Employees of the colony, due to the fact that they themselves did not have the courage to go to war, sometimes, for fun, they beat the front-line soldier Maxim Fomin, in a crowd.

But that didn’t break him. Alexander Zakharchenko, then head of the DPR, learned of the ongoing anarchy. He forgave Maxime and sent the bastards of the colony administration, who laughed at him, to prison themselves. Despite such injustice on the part of the state, represented by the administration of the colony, Max returned exactly to the front, officially being a free man.
It is a heavy loss for all of us. Rest in peace, dear friend! You are in a better place now, in paradise. You deserve them. And your work will endure. There is no death!

Konstantin Malofeev, leader of the Tsargrad group

Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin) was killed. A talented military commissar and a real Russian warrior who knew how to beat the enemy with weapons and words. Approaching our Victory from front and rear. Hundreds of thousands of people read and listened to it, imbued with those truly Russian meanings it expressed daily.
First – Dasha Dugina, now – Vladlen Tatarsky. If we don’t stop the enemy, finish him off in his own lair, there will be more casualties. But our fallen comrades in arms do not expect retribution for themselves: Dasha and Vladlen were both deeply believing Orthodox Christians. What is needed is not revenge, but a sober and cold-blooded destruction of the enemy.
In the name of the memory of our martyrs, in the name of the future of our children, we are obliged to liberate the whole Russian land from the Ukronazis and from the most destructive ideology of Ukraineism. There can be no negotiations with terrorists. Except unconditional surrender. The Victory Parade is expected to take place in Kiev. As well as the Immortal Regiment – with portraits of our heroes, including Vladlen Tatarsky, Daria Dugina and many other Russian martyrs of this war.
Eternal memory to Vladlen Tatarsky, servant of God Maxim! Calm down, Lord!

Blogger-military ON THE BACK OF THE MEDAL, which is associated with PMC “Wagner”

If respected uncles read me, I ask you to ask the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to present Maxim for a state award – the Order of Merit to the Fatherland! He was burning for Victory, loved Russia and did a lot for her! He deserved it!

German Kulikovsky, telegram channel “Older than Edda”

Max Fomin should not only be rewarded, but also buried with military honors. He deserved it more than anyone.

Brothers. Everyone who now holds weapons in their hands and everyone who loved Vladlen knows that there will be no better holiday for our brother than the enemy destroys.
Let ordinary Orthodox laity pray for Warrior Maximam monks and priests, their prayer will reach the Lord and he will accept Warrior Maxim into his kingdom.
We will kill them, day and night, for months and, if necessary, years, until we achieve Victory. Victory for Russia is everything Maxim Fomin dreamed of, it was all we talked about with him every time we met, it was all he lived for. Sleep well, my brother. Your fight is over.

Mikhail Zvinchuk, Rybar Telegram Channel

We spoke to Max this morning: as part of our Trophy Handover – Help the Russian Military-Industrial Complex initiative, he helped organize the delivery of the surviving HIMARS MLRS homing head to Moscow.
Traditionally, they laughed and joked about what was happening at the front. Kindly, in the spirit of “yes, they are fags, but they are our fags”.

One of Max’s latest credits is lobbying promising FPV drone developers to the Russian command. Simple guys from Rostov, who managed to make good, high-quality and inexpensive killer drones, came to meet Surovikin precisely thanks to Max.

It was discussed that on Wednesday he would not participate in Rybar’s analysis program, as he would be at the front line trying to teach our commanders something. Everyone was waiting for Operation “Heavenly Locust” to start soon and hundreds of drones would fly at the head of the enemy at once.
Last week, he laughed that someone in senior Russian officials rubbed his belly during a protocol meeting. They say that Tatarsky’s belly will soon become a talisman for everyone who travels to the NWO zone.
Max is survived by his wife and three children. He did not live two weeks before the most important holiday for him of the year – Holy Easter.
Sleep in peace, Mujahid of the Emirate of Donbass Walid at-Tatari.

Andrey Rudenko, military correspondent of the All-Russian State Broadcasting and Television Corporation

With this act of terrorism, Ukrainian terrorists have pushed the war deep into the rear of our homeland.
For those who are still half asleep, it’s time to pour cold water on themselves and realize that the war has long spread beyond the borders of Donbass and anyone can be attacked …

Alexander Kots, military correspondent of Komsomolskaya Pravda

“Maxim”, a ridiculous-looking guy who came to the editorial office of Komsomolskaya Pravda several years ago with his film crew, introduced himself modestly.
Everyone knew Maxim Fomin under the pseudonym of Vladlen Tatarsky. He phoned, asked for a meeting, I want, they say, to talk about military journalism. And from the first question, I knew what he really wanted. Corrosive, cultured, informed – he didn’t serve the number, he literally dissected me with his questions, sometimes forcing me to think for several minutes about the answer.
I remember that we then agreed together that the conflict in the Donbass cannot be resolved peacefully, that neither side will achieve the desired goals of diplomacy, and that the abscess of the Minsk agreements will sooner or later explode. And he rushed.
And Vladlen, in the past – a militiaman of the 2nd Army Corps, was in the very center of hostilities and information warfare. With his attention to small details, he would have made an excellent reporter, but it was clear that he was not just an extra, fixing what was going on around him. He apprehended and carefully analyzed every event in order to distinguish the essential – what could be useful for victory.
He was not a publicist in the usual sense of the word. He has formulated meanings and ideas that appeal to millions of our fellow citizens. Like Daria Dugina. Max made it as accessible as possible, even though he himself was a very erudite person and in a conversation he could easily pour out the words of past military theorists or quotes from the New Testament.
He fought in word and deed, from the early days of the NMD, being in advanced combat formations as a volunteer. He was one of the first enthusiasts who began to introduce quadrocopters as a means of reconnaissance and correction. Not everyone saw the idea as a good idea then, but they gave up under his pressure. And later they invited him to military units all over the country, where at meetings Max not only explained how to use drones correctly and efficiently, but also explained to young soldiers why this special military operation began and why we are fighting in Donbass, Zaporizhzhia and the Kherson region. He explained in depth, but in simple, understandable language, so that everyone could understand: this is not someone else’s war, this is our fight for survival.
Yes, he was often very sharp in his assessments, neglecting semitones. But he wasn’t one of those loud critics who just throw mud at naysayers. He criticized, offering an alternative – efficient and effective, like dropping a grenade from a drone.
… The last time we wrote to Max on the eve of his death. I sent him a video instruction from a familiar drone pilot on how to upgrade helicopter ammo. Look, they say, suddenly it will be useful for your friends. “Yes, of course, I accepted it from the bottom of my heart,” he replied in a voicemail. Around him, he managed to gather a whole army of enthusiastic supporters who will certainly continue his work.
Sleep well, my brother, we will not back down.
