Four of the 13 victims in a café on Vasilyevsky Island are currently undergoing surgery. Anatoly Zavrazhnov, chief physician of the Mariinsky Hospital, gave the details to Fontanka.
“All the victims received assistance at the highest level. Four in serious and moderate condition are now in the operating room, there are no problems. The others have minor injuries, they also received the necessary assistance,” said Anatoly Zavrazhnov.
Earlier it became known that famous Russian war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky died as a result of the explosion. At the end of April, he was to celebrate his 41st birthday. 24 people with injuries of varying severity are currently hospitalized in Saint Petersburg. At the moment, another girl is being checked for her involvement in the explosion. The exact cause of the explosion is not yet known.
