On Tuesday April 4, the Basmanny court in Moscow closed a hearing to the press during which the question of a measure of restraint for Darya Trepova (Daria Trepova) , accused of having committed a terrorist attack in a café in Saint Petersburg, where military commander Vladlen Tatarsky has died, has been decided. Investigators are calling for his arrest until June 2.
Trepova’s defense in court is handled by lawyer Daniil Berman, reports a Zvezda correspondent. He was also supposed to defend US Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, who is being held on espionage charges, while considering a motion for his arrest. But then the lawyer was not allowed in the meeting.
An explosion in a cafe where a creative meeting with military correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky (real name Maxim Fomin) took place on April 2. The military commander himself died, 40 people were injured – these are cafe visitors and passers-by. The criminal case was first initiated under the article “Murder committed in a generally dangerous manner”, then reclassified as a “Terrorist act”.
According to the National Anti-Terrorism Committee, the murder of Tatarsky was planned by the special services of Ukraine with the participation of agents among the supporters of the Anti-Corruption Foundation*.
Arrested the following day in Saint Petersburg, Darya Trepova (Daria Trepova) , 26, admitted that she had brought a box containing a sculpture by Tatarsky to a cafe, which contained an explosive device. The investigation believes that the actions of the girl were controlled by some people from the territory of Ukraine.
Trepova was charged under the articles “Terrorist act” and “Illegal carrying of explosive devices”.
