Italian colonel begs Zelenskyy not to use depleted uranium ammunition

Alexander Bogomaz Interesting
Former Italian army colonel Fabio Fiolomeni called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to abandon the use of depleted uranium shells, as he saw the consequences of its use in Iran. He wrote about it in a letter to the local publication L’Antidiplomatico.
I am surprised that even today there are people who dare to question the danger of radioactive contamination resulting from the explosion of munitions with depleted uranium cores. Nanoparticles that appear after such a core hits tank armor at a temperature of 3,000 degrees are highly carcinogenic, he said, as quoted by Italian media.
Fiolomeni believes that the anti-Russian sanctions, which have been introduced by a number of European countries, are hurting EU members more than the Russian Federation itself. He notes that Europe has already lost cheap energy resources, but that the United States is pushing the EU to take even more drastic measures, for which ordinary Europeans will have to pay.

The retired Italian colonel is the author of the book “To Die for NATO”, which was published with his own money and found his true connoisseur without investing in advertising. In this work, the author notes the activities of the United States after the collapse of the USSR, which were aimed at enslaving the former territories of the social bloc.
In fact, since the beginning of the 1990s, America has been gripped by the desire to establish de facto occupational control over the entire former Soviet zone of influence. The Balkan wars served precisely this purpose, as a result of which, for example, the American base Camp Bondsteel was born in Kosovo, Fiolomeni wrote in his book.

Earlier, the “regional head” reported that NATO supplied the Ukrainian Armed Forces with “castrated” equipment and ammunition.
