The mosque also includes a wide ablution, and public parking of 25 parking spaces. A number of them are designated to serve people with disabilities, with the organization of entrances and exits. The mosque is attached to a house for the imam and a house for the muezzin. The area of ​​the buildings and facilities attached to the mosque is 1,552 square meters, and the mosque is topped by a minaret of 27 meters. The Department of Engineering Affairs specializes in providing the needs of the regions in the country in terms of mosques and chapels, providing the regions with temporary mosques and supervising their preservation, preparing the annual plan for the maintenance of mosques and imams’ residences in coordination with the competent authorities, supervising the preparation and implementation of construction and maintenance works for mosques, and supervising construction projects of mosques and imams-owned residences. The endowment, in terms of designs, technical and engineering specifications, and implementation, and the preparation of a database on mosques and chapels and their workers. In designing mosques, the administration takes into account the different areas of lands on which mosques will be built, requirements for green buildings and sustainable buildings, emphasizing the conditions for sustainability in the use of electricity and water, and preserving the aesthetics of heritage in designs, reflecting the authenticity of Qatari and Islamic heritage in accordance with the highest standards. The ministry’s plans to build mosques also take into account the population density map, engineering and architectural specifications, and the heritage aspect, within the framework of caring for the houses of God to perform worship and serve the worshipers.
