It has become easier for Russian citizens to obtain British visas. Diplomats and tour operators are always advised to start processing documents no later than three months before travel.
The time for obtaining a visa has been reduced from six months to two months, reports the Association of Tour Operators of Russia with reference to specialists from the BSI Group, the PAC Group and Russian Express. At the same time, the appointment at the UK visa center is busy about a month in advance. Tour operators have not yet recorded any customer refusals.
The flow of tourists from Russia has decreased due to Western sanctions and the cancellation of direct flights. However, regular travelers are still visiting the UK, the BSI Group noted. A connecting flight in both directions can cost a tourist 199,000 rubles.
Previously, it was reported that the Croatian Embassy granted mainly Russians the so-called short types of travel dates.
