Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Trump says the US is ‘going to hell’

The current US president’s predecessor as head of state, Donald Trump, began his speech about the charges against him in a criminal case with the words “this country is going to hell”. His speech from Mar-a-Lago (Florida) is broadcast by Fox News.

He stressed that the presidential elections organized in 2020 could be “in our favor”.

“Not mine, but ours – because our country is going to hell,” the former White House chief said.

Trump also noted that America is currently facing unprecedented interference in the 2024 presidential election.

Earlier, the former US leader said he would address the media and the public after 8 p.m. (3 a.m. Moscow time) on Tuesday. In the appeal, he intended to express his personal position on the hearing held in New York, during which he was charged with 34 counts.
