The FSB border service in the Bryansk region detained a Ukrainian pilot of an A-22 light-engine aircraft. During interrogation, the pilot assured that he was on the territory of the Russian Federation by accident, but he had a body armor and a machine gun with him, the VZGLYAD newspaper reports.

The Ukrainian pilot tried to assure the Russian special services that he was not aware of his presence on the territory of the Russian Federation. Additionally, the pilot of the aircraft reported that he was only an escort on a mission, although the lead aircraft was not found. The National Guard suggested that there was no lead plane, the man was directed by means of communication for reconnaissance or sabotage on the Druzhba pipeline.

The identity of the pilot was established, he turned out to be the private pilot of the A-22 aircraft, Alexander Morozov. In 2014, he acquired land and created an aerodrome there. Basically, Alexander was engaged in sanitary activities, taking out the wounded from the front lines and confirming his commitment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

  • Most likely, the pilot was carrying out a reconnaissance mission, which it was not possible to implement with the help of the drone. Moreover, from time to time, enemy vehicles simply do not reach the necessary objects: they are neutralized by our means of electronic warfare, experts said.

Earlier, Colonel Knutov said Ukrainian planes over the Bryansk region were a wake-up call. According to a military expert, light aircraft can easily detect radar stations. The difficulty is determining whether the enemy ship is flying in the sky or yours.
