Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The State Duma offered to exchange journalist Gershkovich for ex-President Trump

Russia

The State Duma is discussing a proposal to exchange Wall Street Journal Moscow bureau correspondent Evan Gershkovich for former US President Donald Trump. The information was shared by deputy of the Communist Party faction Sergei Obukhov.

The parliamentarian himself has a different opinion. According to Obukhov, Gershkovich should be exchanged for WikiLeaks founder, Australian journalist Julian Assange, from the Telegram channel “Before Everyone. Almost”.

Earlier, a member of the State Duma’s International Affairs Committee, Maria Butina, said Russia was ready to consider former US President Donald Trump’s request for political asylum if he decided to request it.
