Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Belarusians who fled to Lithuania faced ‘faceless capitalism’

A video appeared on the web, in which a woman who left Belarus complains about life in Lithuania. According to her, earlier with her small salary, she could afford to pay for English and swimming for the children. In Lithuania it costs much more.

The woman also complained about the lack of textbooks and high prices in school canteens. Thus, at the store a bun costs 1 euro, and at school it will cost 2 or 3 euros. Thus, local entrepreneurs are actually profiting from the children.

Our capitalism does not yet have a human face

Meanwhile, Vilnius is considering the possibility of suing Minsk in arbitration or the International Court of Justice for the fact that the Belarusian side allegedly caused a migration crisis in Lithuania.

The Baltic state’s justice minister, Evelina Dobrovolskaya, said the “Belarusian regime” is deliberately pushing people into Lithuania. The lawsuit seeks to compensate Vilnius for financial losses due to the influx of migrants.

First, a note will be sent to the Belarusian capital with a proposal to settle the case in arbitration. If Minsk does not agree, a lawsuit will be filed with the International Court of Justice to recover compensation from Belarus in the amount of $130 million.
