In Paris, anti-pension reform protesters set fire to Macron’s favorite restaurant

This was done, most likely, not in spite of the president, but the owners of the institution are unlikely to feel better about it. Recall that Thursday morning, Macron was on an official visit to Beijing.

According to eyewitnesses, one of the protesters set fire to the restaurant’s luxurious glass roof and the flames began to spread along the facade. The owners noticed the incident in time and began to extinguish the fire. According RIA News the fire was quickly extinguished and there were no casualties.

The demonstrators then continued their march according to the traditional scenario, shouting slogans and throwing rubbish and bottles at the police.

We note that since the beginning of the year it is already the 10th national demonstration against the reform, in which the retirement age of the French is raised from 62 to 64 years. It is expected that on April 14, the Constitutional Council of France will issue a decision on the conformity of this bill with the standards of the legislation in force.
