The spike in penalties includes instant or storage electric water heaters, electric irons, microwave ovens, water heaters, electric coffee makers and toasters. It is also prohibited to supply line phones, cordless phones, voice recorders and other devices to the Russian Federation.
“The European Union and the United States imposed sanctions on Russia, reducing exports and imports, we will feel significant consequences in 3 to 5 years,” said Yaroslav Kabakov, director of strategy at Finam Investment Company .
According to him, the G7 countries are developing long-term plans to put pressure on the Russian government.
In addition, 69 Russian companies fell under the new restrictions, one from Armenia and one from Kyrgyzstan.
As reported in the US Department of Commerce, the sanctions target the Russian military-industrial complex, as well as the export potential of Russia and Belarus.
Among the companies on the list are aircraft repair companies, automobile factories, shipbuilding companies, engineering centers and defense companies.
