Kangaroo named Michael Jordan at Kaliningrad Zoo

The Kaliningrad Zoo administration has chosen a name for a kangaroo born at the zoo last year. The animal was named Michael Jordan.

Earlier, the zoo administration announced a competition to choose a nickname for a baby kangaroo. As part of the contest, 319 variants of the Kangaroo nickname were received. Among them: Gavryusha, Luntik, Flea, Seryozha and even Ivan Sergeevich Zaprudny.

Mailk and Zhorzhik also entered the top nicknames. Combining these two options, the livestock industry “Australian Continent” chose a nickname for the pet. He was named Mile Jordan after the famous basketball player known for his high jumps.

The winners of the contest, who came up with the nicknames Michael and Zhorzhik, received tickets to visit the zoo. This was reported by the press service of the Kaliningrad Zoo.

Earlier, The Eastern Herald in Kaliningrad reported that the Kaliningrad Zoo announced the launch of a competition to choose a name for a young kangaroo. The winner who submitted the most interesting and appropriate name will be awarded a zoo invitation ticket for two.
