The website of the Amur Shipyard published data on the fourth corvette of the Russian Navy’s Pacific Fleet. It is known that the machine will be laid, tentatively, in the second half of June 2023, probably on the day of shipbuilding in Russia.
The first contract for the construction of the three previous corvettes was signed in December 2020, and the mentioned car became the fourth and last. Model 20385, established this year, is a modernized version of the Project 20380 corvette, its predecessor. The main task of the Russian fleet combat vehicle is to destroy surface enemy ships or submarines and escort Russian ships.
The characteristics of the new Russian corvette are as follows: the displacement will be 2,200 tons, the length of the ship will be 104 meters, and the width will be 13 m. The car will reach speeds of up to 27 knots and its cruise range will reach 3,500 miles ed.). Working autonomy will reach 15 days, the crew will be 99 people.
A combat corvette called Zealous from Project 20385 is the latest in a series of corvettes for the Russian Defense Ministry, the Amur Shipyard website reported.
