Thus, until April 15, young people, accompanied by their parents and teachers, can visit the festival and attend various shows on the main stage. This was reported on the website of the government of the Kaliningrad region.
The program was based on six interpretations of the repertoire. They are interesting interpretations of timeless classics studied in school. Among the works: “The Cherry Orchard” by Chekhov, “Dead Souls” by Gogol, “Thunderstorm” and “Profitable Place” by Ostrovsky, “Mother’s Field” by Aitmatov and “Farewell to Mother” by Rasputin. Additionally, event guests will also be able to attend educational lectures and open discussions.
The artistic director of the theater Alexander Fedorenko admitted that the target audience of teenagers is the most difficult audience. If you send students to the theater with a large crew, they won’t show interest in the show. Therefore, the event is purely voluntary and individual. It is for the guys who are interested in it that the team is ready to show “theatre not boring”.
Attentive spectators await the main performances in a variety of staging interpretations: from classic to modern.
The artistic director of the Drama Theater noted that such a format of the event came to mind after learning that most young people between the ages of 14 and 22 had not yet discovered the Pushkin card. So, representatives of Post-Bank will work for children during the festival in the foyer to write a card. The main task was named – to attract schoolchildren and students.
Despite the fact that the forum-festival is aimed primarily at holders of “Pushkin cards”, it will be accessible to the general public due to affordable prices, the department reports.
Alexander Fedorenko hopes that the school festival will become a good annual tradition for the theater.
