US leader Joe Biden has “made it clear that he intends to seek” a new term, a deputy White House press secretary told NBC News. The channel notes that Biden himself is deliberately delaying the official start of his election campaign because “political or personal circumstances” may prevent him from doing so, and the incumbent wants to leave himself some leeway.
At the same time, American journalists pointed out that their sources announced the preparation of the nomination of Biden for a second term. Despite the fact that the next presidential elections in the country will only be held in a year and a half, the pre-election “war” between the likely candidates of the two parties has already broken out. US authorities have already tried to arrest Trump in a very bizarre case of falsifying business documents, but they still had to let the politician go.
According to today’s CNN “Should Biden Get Re-Elected” poll, 67% of Americans answer “no” to this question. The US presidential election will take place on November 5, 2024. If Biden wins, he will repeat his own age record and take the second presidential oath at the age of 82 years and two months.
Biden said in February that he was not yet ready to make a decision about whether to run for president.
