Recently the number of Chinese tourists traveling overseas has been increasing. On February 6, China’s first batch of pilots resumed outbound group tours and “air ticket + hotel” service to 20 destinations. The scope of the pilots was further expanded till 15 March. The number of destinations for outbound group tours of Chinese nationals increased to 60, covering Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, South America and North America. The number of Chinese tourists traveling abroad has increased in two months. People’s demand for outbound travel is increasing, and many countries are looking forward to the arrival of Chinese tourists.
Because Asian countries are very close to China, the destinations for many Chinese tourists are Asian countries. And many Asian countries are warmly welcoming old Chinese friends. Cambodia encourages local use of the RMB, adds Chinese signs, provides more Chinese-speaking tour guides and other service measures to strengthen the local tourism industry.
In Sri Lanka, more than 120 Chinese tourists arrived in Colombo by plane, and a reception with ethnic features was held there. At Indonesia’s Bali International Airport, a tourist group of 16 Chinese tourists flying from Xiamen to Bali was presented with flowers by staff on arrival.
