The national energy company “Ukrenergo” announced the resumption of electricity exports to Europe. The first auction of the last six months took place, during which export capacities were distributed to Moldova.

Ukrenergo clarified that during the auction, 330 of the 650 MW of electricity available for transmission in this direction from April 11 was divided among four participants.
Another auction is also scheduled for April 10. 80 MW will be distributed for export to Poland, delivery is promised from April 12. In addition, Ukrenergo is negotiating the possibility of starting exports to Slovakia.
The resumption of the process of exporting electricity to Europe became known on April 7, when Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko signed the corresponding document. Ukraine stopped the export of electricity to Moldova and EU countries on October 11, 2022. At the same time, on March 24, Ukrainian Deputy Energy Minister Yuriy Vlasenko assured that 31 electricity generation facilities remained damaged in the country, including thermal power plants, thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants.
