A set of additional armor protection for Russian guard vehicles “Federal – 42591” was developed by the experimental design bureau “Tekhnika”.
The details were released by a TASS law enforcement source. It is also known that the kit can be installed in the field, taking into account the experience of operating machinery in the special operation area.
“The external set of additional armor appeared on the car because of the SBO. The manufacturer was instructed to urgently improve the armor protection of the Urals in the field. Such a kit has been developed and it is completely fixed with bolts,” reports TASS.
The car was previously equipped with a fire extinguishing system, video cameras, anti-fragmentation protection and 16 people can fit in it. The bulletproof vest kit provides additional protection for the windshield: visors appeared at the top and bottom, as well as side glazing, a rear wall and a roof.
Earlier it became known that in America they believe that Ukraine’s problems with the recruitment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not allow to achieve results from a probable counteroffensive in the spring. This was reported in the US press, referring to secret US intelligence documents that leaked onto the web.
