Zelenskyy signed a record budget of Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a bill on a significant increase in the state budget by half a trillion hryvnia, from which record amounts will be allocated for military spending, news agency NEWSDATA reports. UK.

For Ukraine, this is the largest increase in the budget. More than 540 billion hryvnias should be spent on defense. The money will be spent on payments to the army, as well as on the purchase of military equipment and equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the same time, military expenditure from the Ukrainian state budget will amount to 43%, or more than 31 billion dollars or 1.1 trillion hryvnias. As usual, Kiev counts on the support of the United States and Europe in many ways.

It should be noted that the Americans are also breaking records – in 2023 the US budget included $847.3 billion for defense. Moreover, 800 million should be spent to help the Ukrainians and another 6 billion will be allocated to “contain” the Russian Federation in the EU.
