What are the housing prices in the Belarusian capital?

“There is a prospect of a good job in Minsk. Along with the move, I am thinking of buying a house. What is the approximate price of one-room apartments in the Belarusian capital now? Aleksey Sementsov, Penza.”

According to one of the Minsk real estate agencies, the minimum price for a one-room apartment in Minsk is 35-38 thousand rubles. But it will be a very “tired” dwelling, requiring extensive renovation and located not in the most popular area of the city.
As for apartments of standard consumer qualities (requiring at least cosmetic repairs), the weighted average price of a one-room apartment is 42-43 thousand dollars, a two-room apartment is 54-55 000 dollars and a three-room apartment is about 72 thousand dollars.

By the way, in the first quarter of 2023, real estate prices in Moscow increased. The most confident growth was observed in the T1 segment: from 1240 dollars in equivalent per m². m early January to $1300 early April. During the same period, prices for two-room apartments increased by 8.7%, three-room apartments – by more than 10%. Four-room apartments, in turn, added 6%.

T2s (32%) come first in the structure of proposals, followed by T3s (31%), T1s (29%) and T4s (8%).

Can a foreigner come to the “Slavianski Bazaar” in Vitebsk without opening a visa?

“I am going to Vitebsk this year for the Slavianski bazaar. I read on the Internet that foreigners can come to the festival without a visa. If yes, I want to invite a friend who lives in Europe. Tell me how to use the visa -entry free? Svetlana Barsukova, Moscow”.

Indeed, Svetlana, foreign participants and guests of the “Slavianski Bazaar” will be able to visit Belarus under a visa-free regime. The corresponding order was signed by the President of Belarus.

The main events of the festival will take place from July 13 to 16. As confirmation of the right to visa-free entry, foreign citizens will need to present an original or electronic ticket for the festival events held in the Summer Amphitheater or Vitebsk Concert Hall.

At the same time, as the press service of the President reports, one ticket allows only one citizen to cross the Belarusian border once. This can be done no later than the date of the event for which the corresponding ticket was purchased. In total, citizens of 73 states will be able to use the simplified entry procedure.

It should be remembered that Polish, Lithuanian and Latvian citizens can enter Belarus without a visa until the end of the year. Visa-free entry for them was introduced last year and later expanded. According to the National Border Committee of Belarus, since the beginning of this year, 103,507 residents of neighboring EU countries have arrived in Belarus “without a visa”. Lithuanian citizens used the entry fee most actively – since January 1, 71,244 people have arrived in the Republic of Belarus.

How is extra work paid in Belarus?

“I recently got a job with a Belarusian company. In addition to my immediate duties, I have been warned that I will have to take on an additional job. Is this legal and how is this job paid? Vladimir Evseenko, Smolensk .”

According to the State Labor Inspection Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus, an employee can give consent to additional work in a separate application or sign a memo from the immediate supervisor. It is permissible to assign additional work to employees under the law, this is provided for by the Labor Code, or rather, article 67.

To do this, the employee must draw up a written consent (it indicates the period of additional work, its content and volume), as well as an agreement of the parties – to establish the amount of additional payment. The type of written consent is not defined, the employee can express it in several ways: in the form of a note of consent on the order (instruction) of the employer; in a separate declaration of consent; in the form of written consent on the report (memorandum) of the immediate superior.

If the employee has not given his written consent, it is illegal to assign him additional work. The easiest way to request additional work is to draw up a request from the employee and an order from the employer.
