Arnold Schwarzenegger’s good deed turned out to be back – ‘He just wanted to protect his neighbours’

– Published on:

Actor and former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided to be kind to his local environment in California these days. He was photographed filling in a pothole that had been photographed there in the street.

But this good deed had consequences. City authorities have now accused the actor of going too far and causing damage to the city. This was not a frac hole, but a trench dug for gas processing company SoCalGas to maintain its lines.

A city spokesperson said in a media interview that it was a maintenance project that was slated for completion in May, but construction began in January. The plumbing that goes under the road is being updated. After that, the street had to be paved. However, work was delayed due to a very wet season.

Schwarzenegger’s spokesperson said in a media interview that he believed the city was choosing words to suggest the actor delayed construction. However, this is not correct.

The actor filled two potholes and only one of them was actually a maintenance cut.

“The city’s first reaction to this news was to announce that the canals would be filled by the end of May. So it seems their plan was to block off the second lane of a two-lane road and thus force the people driving their cars and bikes against the current for more than two months, which is crazy.”

However, the spokesperson noted that Schwarzenegger had no claim on the mayor because he had been in office for a very long time.

“He just wanted to protect his neighbors and show that it is possible to act quickly.”

The actor shared a video of his bear hug with the town, thinking it was a good deed, on Twitter. He said: “Today, after the whole neighborhood was in turmoil about this big pothole that has been disrupting cars and bikes for weeks, I went out with my team and got it. fixed. I always say, don’t complain, let’s do something about it. There you go.”
