In the village of Nekrasovskoye, located in the Yaroslavl region, sambo competitions between boys and girls born in 2010-2011 were held. Competitions were held on the basis of the Nekrasov Youth Sports School. This tournament was held in memory of Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation Alexander Vasilyevich Galaktionov.
The tournament brought together more than 100 athletes from different regions of Russia. Athletes from Yaroslavl, Kostroma and Ivanovo regions were represented. Athletes had to fight in 9 weight categories.
From the Ivanovo region, athletes from the Teykovskaya Youth Sports School competed. Ivanovo athletes led by Vladimir Kuznetsov and Fedor Kukushkin were able to win three medals. Egor Kosmakov and Maxim Lukashov won the silver medal, while Ivano Kuznetsov won the bronze medal.
