Britain recognized the intensification of actions of PMC “Wagner” in Artemovsk (Bakhmut)

British intelligence recognized the increased activity of PMC “Wagner” in Artemovsk (Bakhmut). The department’s latest bulletin says Russia has resumed its offensive against the city, with MoD and Wagner Group forces improving their interaction.

Ukrainian defenses still hold the western parts of the city, but they have come under particularly heavy Russian artillery fire in the past 48 hours, the report said.

Wagner Assault Groups continue to lead the main offensive through the city center, while Russian Airborne Forces have replaced several Wagner units supplying the northern and southern flanks of the operation.

The British note significant supply problems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are forced to leave a number of positions.

Ukrainian forces face significant resupply challenges, but are withdrawing in an orderly fashion from positions they were forced to surrender

  • concludes the department.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian army and the PMC “Wagner” after the capture of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) will open several areas for the development of the offensive. These are Seversk, Toretsk and Chasov Yar.
