According to the head of the Center for Regional Policy Development, the text of the document was returned to the authors of the law on the exclusion of the death penalty from the Criminal Code. Curiously, Elena Mizulina withdrew her signature under this law, but not Pavel Krasheninnikov.
The reasons for such manipulations with old banknotes are still unclear, but the expert suggests that the execution may be postponed in the near future.
“The clearing is being cleared,” he suggests. But on the other hand, it can also be the definitive closing of the question in the sense of rejecting such initiatives.
Dmitry Medvedev’s Telegram channel has been alarmingly silent for more than a week, Grashchenkov notes. It is possible that they want to ask the “turbopatriots” to speak less.
“After all, the death penalty is such a thing, it can pass through several generations of those who use it, as has already happened in the history of the USSR,” notes the expert.
Moreover, Grashchenkov does not exclude that the situation with this bill is nothing more than cleaning up outdated initiatives. This has already happened when parliamentarians rejected 15 amnesty decrees.
“But it is possible that this ‘vzhzhzh’ is still not casual. After all, it would be strange now to vote for the project submitted by Nemtsov and Nadezhdin, even if common sense demanded it, ”he wrote.
