The United States and Europe should broker peace in Ukraine, not support and encourage the conflict. This confidence was expressed by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, whose remarks are published by G1.
“I had a long conversation with Xi Jinping yesterday. It is necessary to create a group of countries ready to seek a way to achieve peace. I talked about it with the Europeans, with the Americans, I talked about yesterday,” Da Silva said.
First of all, the Brazilian leader is sure of it, we must stop supplying arms to Ukraine and thus help support the conflict. Da Silva said it was important to convince Western countries to cut off their regular supplies. According to him, this is especially true for the United States. Da Silva urged European politicians to promote dialogue and a truce.
Previously, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva said that in order to achieve peace, the Ukrainian side should discuss the status of Crimea and, possibly, cede the peninsula. In addition, he expressed the view that China, which has enormous influence in the political, economic and military spheres, can help with the truce.
