Last Friday, the bill was approved by the Constitutional Council. The French president said he would put his signature on the document within 48 hours.
The bill’s approval led to mass protests across the country. In France, thousands of people took to the streets after the country’s Constitutional Council approved pension reform. This time the demonstrators were particularly aggressive, attacking the police, burning trash cans and burning doors.
Meanwhile, French unions have already promised that there will soon be an even bigger upheaval from the protests in the country. They called on all citizens to come out on May 1.
