Kostroma sanatorium client demands half a million rubles for COVID infection

An interesting civil case (and, to be honest, capable of becoming a model) will be heard on April 20 in the Kostroma District Court. The essence of the lawsuit is as follows: a certain Kostroma believes that the administration of the health resort is responsible for the fact that he fell ill with COVID while in a sanatorium. And if so, compensation can be demanded from him for the physical suffering he suffered during his treatment at the Kostroma District Hospital No. 2. The plaintiff estimated the suffering suffered at 500,000 rubles.

If the demand is met, the sanatorium can be safely closed due to bankruptcy.

The only consolation is that it will be extremely difficult to prove a direct causal link between the COVID infection and the negligence of the sanatorium administration (so to speak).
