According to the television channel Cnews, the police are carrying out mass arrests in Paris of protesters against the pension reform.
“According to the police headquarters, there are currently several wild demonstrations in Paris, and 112 people have been arrested”, according to a television channel which follows events around the pension reform online.
According to initial estimates by the French Interior Ministry, at least 4,000 people took to the streets of Paris to express their opposition to the pension reform.
Earlier there were reports of police using tear gas to break up a rally outside the town hall in central Paris.
Remember that as part of the reform, it is planned to raise the minimum retirement age in France from 62 to 64 by 2030.
