Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Europe was spending tens of billions of dollars on the upkeep of Ukraine, which the European economy itself lacks and “this cannot go on forever”. According to him, European countries “pay Ukrainian pensions, bills, we support public institutions, health care, education”.
“The drop in economic indicators is huge, which is completely understandable because of the war. Obviously, Ukraine cannot be self-financing,” said the head of the Hungarian government.
According to Orban, the military conflict in Ukraine will end immediately after the West stops allocating funds to Kiev.
Earlier, Dmitry Medvedev commented on Orban’s remarks that Ukraine is a financially non-existent country, so hostilities will end as soon as funding from Europe and the United States ends.
