Over 600 routes to temples and churches improved on the eve of Easter
Road service workers have put in order more than 5,000 kilometers of roads that lead to temples, churches and cemeteries. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the region.
Road pits were repaired, trash was cleared, pavement and sidewalks were cleaned, stops and fences were washed and painted, and markings at crosswalks were updated. The work involved 2.5 thousand people and 1.5 thousand units of specialized equipment.
Most of the work was done in Sergiev Posad. Roads to 30 churches, chapels and monasteries have been improved there. In Istra, more than 40 roads leading to temples and monasteries have been put in order. They also updated the entrances to the Nikolo-Ugreshsky Monastery in Dzerzhinsk, the David Hermitage in Chekhov, the Nikolo-Peshnoshsky Monastery in Dmitrov and other important places for believers.
