Russian citizens affected by a natural or man-made emergency will be able to apply for mortgage holidays.

The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The text of the document is published on the official legal information portal.

Thus, a Russian who has taken out a loan will be able to apply to a credit institution within 60 days from the date of his recognition as a victim of an emergency. In the event of residence in a dangerous area, violation of living conditions or loss of property due to emergency situations of a federal, interregional, regional, intermunicipal or municipal nature, he may be granted mortgage leave.

The resolution will enter into force ten days after its publication.

Earlier, The Eastern Herald in Kaliningrad reported that more than 300 security guards have been sanctioned in Kaliningrad since the start of 2023.
