The International Women’s Economic Forum was held in Dagestan

Dagestan hosted the second International Women’s Economic Forum dedicated to Rasul Gamzatov’s 100th birthday. The event was organized by the Opora Rossii Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Committee in partnership with Sberbank.

Several hundred representatives of business and politics from the regions of Russia and neighboring countries took part. Forum guests discussed the role of women in the development of the economy and public life, international business partnerships, tourism, culture and much more.

Zaur Askenderov, Chairman of the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan:

“The Women’s International Economic Forum is a significant and important event for our country and our republic. Women leaders gathered here – entrepreneurs, politicians, doctors and public figures from many regions of Russia and countries of the world. Women have always played an important role in the development of society. The modern world, in constant evolution, poses new challenges to society, to each one of us. These are issues of sustainable economic development, new approaches to education, social support system, environmental issues and much more. In their decision-making, women are of course playing an increasingly important role.

In addition to the commercial part of the forum, the guests of the event were treated to an exhibition of folk art crafts “Made by the women of Dagestan”, as well as a poetry competition “I sing to you with a loving heart”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Rasul Gamzatov.

Mikhail Airapetyan, deputy director of the Dagestan branch of Sberbank:

“The role of women in the development of Dagestan’s economy is growing. Every year more and more representatives of the fair sex engage in entrepreneurship. Sber actively supports the affairs of the republic at all stages of development: it is not only about financing, including on preferential terms, but also many services and non-financial services. Together with partners, we help companies in Dagestan to optimize their business, reduce costs and open up new opportunities – from expertise of a business idea and assistance with registration of a company, an audit of financial statements, assistance in recruiting employees and launching tools to increase sales.

During the event, a partnership agreement was concluded between Sberbank and the Dagestan regional branch of Opora Rossii. Now, within the framework of the Opora Rossii partnership program in Dagestan, he can register a company for free by opening an account with Sberbank without visiting the Federal Tax Service and a bank branch, as well as draw up 18 other products of Sberbank which helps entrepreneurs of the republic when opening a business and developing it.
