The National Agency for Cybersecurity, represented by the Department of National Cyber ​​Excellence, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education represented by the Department of E-Learning and Digital Solutions, launched an awareness campaign targeting about 3,000 school students, teachers and parents, as it is the first awareness campaign in the field of cybersecurity directed to students. and female students in general education in the country. The intensive awareness campaign targets about 30 schools in the country, through which the National Agency for Cybersecurity seeks to educate students and parents about cybersecurity risks and threats, raise awareness of ways to prevent them, and highlight behaviors that help protect the education sector and student community from cyber risks, thus contributing In promoting the values ​​of preserving digital citizenship. In her turn, Dalal Al-Aqidi, Director of the National Cyber ​​Excellence Department at the National Agency for Cybersecurity, said, “This project comes within the framework of the National Agency for Cybersecurity’s keenness to enhance awareness of cybersecurity risks, and based on its vision of building a safe cyber society, in which all its segments have sufficient awareness to face the challenges that face it.” Accompanying the accelerating technological revolution, and the agency’s full belief that enhancing cybersecurity in the local community is the focus of a partnership between educational and security institutions to build an educational and valuable shield that secures protection from the dangers of the digital world for students of all ages. A fruitful partnership Al-Aqidi added: Our partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education resulted in the launch of the Cybersecurity Educational Curricula Project, which is the first of its kind in the region, in terms of targeting students in the school environment, and its orientation for each age stage with content commensurate with the degree of awareness and awareness that you enjoy. In addition to going to people with special needs, parallel education and adult education, to ensure the dissemination of cyber awareness in the entire student community, including school students, teachers and parents. She pointed out that the cybersecurity curricula project is presented in a smooth and enjoyable framework, which would contribute to social awareness of cyber risks in all their forms. visuals, educational videos, posters and infographic designs, in addition to a guide for teachers and a guide for parents. Al-Aqeedi explained that in conjunction with the “Cybersecurity Educational Curricula” project, another pioneering initiative was launched that complements the educational cybersecurity curricula. It is the “CyberEcho” awareness initiative, as it aims to enhance awareness of the concepts and values ​​of cybersafety within the framework of activities. Extra-curricular within the school environment. The initiative is based on producing cyber educational content through a set of targeted activities and events, based on field visits to public and private schools, and holding workshops that include educational video presentations, cyber competitions, various events, activities and applications, in addition to distributing gifts. on the students. And as a continuation of the cybersecurity curricula project, the National Agency for Cybersecurity launched an electronic platform that includes the entire knowledge content, including videos, character descriptions, designs and instructions, so that all are available to the student community, and those wishing to obtain knowledge and cyber awareness easily. The campaign continues until May. It is worth noting that the schools in which the awareness campaign started are Al-Muthanna Bin Haritha Model Primary School, Hateen Model Primary School, Saad Bin Moaz Elementary School, Saud Bin Abdul Rahman Model Primary School, Abdullah Bin Jassim Al Thani Primary School, and Moza Bint School. Muhammad Elementary School, Al-Bayan Primary School, Emama Bint Hamzah Primary School, Al-Shifa Bint Abdul Rahman Al-Ansariah Primary School, and Al-Khansa Primary School.
