Drug-addicted dog Tindur, who has been in the service of Vestfjörður police for nine years, is now done with his job, having turned eleven.
For this reason, his colleagues from Ísafjörður Tindi police station started. As a sign of gratitude, for the excellent service, Tindur received what he loves the most, a liver sausage. According to the decision of the chief of police, Helga Jensson, the dog was handed over to the supervisor and trainer of Tind, Þóri Guðmundsson and his family.
A new drug detection dog takes over from Tind. It is Buster that Marín Elvarsdóttir, director of the Vestfjörður police, supervises. Buster is a strong-willed young dog who, like Tindur, was trained by Steinar Gunnarsson, the police chief dog trainer. But he is employed by the North West Police and does dog training for the country’s police.
