Zakharova: Poland uses Ukraine as an anti-Russian tool
Poland only needs Ukraine as an instrument of its anti-Russian policy. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on her Telegram channel. This is how she reacted to Warsaw’s decision to ban the import and transit of cereals from Ukraine.
“Imagine, this is how Poland speaks to Ukraine, when it still needs it as a subject, as an anti-Russian toolbox,” she wrote.
Zakharova also added that this decision by the Polish authorities is very significant in that it exposes the “imaginary concern of Westerners” for the hungry and those in need of food.
On the eve of Poland and Hungary announced the introduction of a temporary ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products. The restrictions will remain in effect until June 30.
Warsaw and Budapest explained their decision by the losses suffered by Polish and Hungarian farmers due to overstocking of local markets with agricultural products from Ukraine.
