Body camera footage from the scene of actor Jeremy Renner’s brutal New Year’s Day crash has been released by police.
You can see paramedics fighting to save the life of the actor who was seriously injured after being hit by a snow plow. The actor lies in his own blood as paramedics try to stop the bleeding.
In the video, you can briefly see the snow plow as well as a helicopter that came to the scene to put the actor under medical supervision.
There, you can also hear the actor’s cousin, who was the only witness to the accident, describe that Renner tried to jump on the device but then fell under it.
“He came out to tell me something, then he started sliding towards me, with all his strength, then he tried to go back,” the uncle can be heard saying.
“That’s where his blood is, that’s where it happened,” a member of the Renner family says, pointing to a pool of blood in the distance.
Renner recently said in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel that he felt guilty towards his uncle because he had to watch everything happen.
“He needed to see Uncle Jeremy on the ground. I didn’t see anything, but he was bleeding everywhere.”
The actor broke more than 30 bones in the accident and one of his eyes fell out of its socket. He is still in a lot of pain and has lost a lot of muscle mass.
However, he sees the bright side and tells Kimmel that he finally managed to quit there. As if that relieved some pressure from his life. “My schedule was quite hectic until I got crushed.”
Renner is back on his feet after the accident, but has to use a cane to walk. His rehabilitation will probably take a long time, but among other things, he had to have an iron ball implanted and other things to put him back on his feet after the accident.
