The US Secretary of State stated that he held consultations with his British counterpart on the situation in Sudan, and confirmed that the two countries had made close contacts with their partners in the Arab world, Africa and international organizations.
Blinken called for the need for the parties to the conflict to ensure the protection of Sudanese civilians and citizens of other countries, in addition to an immediate ceasefire and a return to promising talks that would put Sudan on the path of returning to a full transition to a civilian government.
For the fourth day in a row, fighting continued between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in the capital, Khartoum, and other areas, while international and regional parties are making unremitting efforts to urge the two sides to deviate from peace.
