As an example of military cooperation, he cited joint sea and air patrols, bilateral and multilateral military exercises, including within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
In turn, Li Shangfu explained why, after being appointed minister, he made his first visit to Russia: “To demonstrate to the outside world the high level of development of Sino-Russian relations and demonstrate firm determination to strengthen the strategic interaction between the armed forces of China and Russia.
On Tuesday, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and the National Defense Academy of the People’s Liberation Army of China.
