Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the possibility of using alternative formats for the Immortal Regiment. According to him, it will be widely claimed.
“Here, I cannot comment on the president’s (participation), but the fact that these alternative formats will be widely demanded by citizens is unequivocal,” he told reporters.
Earlier it became known that the procession of the “Immortal Regiment” this year will not officially take place. Elena Tsunaeva, co-chairman of the Central Headquarters of the Immortal Regiment of Russia OOD, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, explained that a number of regions, including Crimea, began to refuse to organize the event due to threats.
