On Wednesday, April 19, Ekaterinburg hosted the first game of the Russian Women’s Basketball Championship final between local UMMC and Dynamo Kursk.

Today’s game ended with a score of 76:61. In fact, everything was decided by the last ten minutes, during which the hostesses on the floor proved to be significantly stronger.

The top scorer in Game 1 of the final series was Maria Alexandria Bentley, who scored 25 points.

The Kursk team had the most points scored by Eva Lisets and Elizaveta Komarova (14 points each).

Thus, the score in the final series up to three wins was 1:0 in favor of UMMC. The second game will take place on April 21 also in Yekaterinburg.

By the way, UMMC is the most successful club in Russian women’s basketball. Last year the team lost the league title to Dynamo Kursk.
