Argentina allowed the country to join the BRICS after the group met in Durban in August. This was announced by the Argentine Ambassador to Russia, Eduardo Suine, on the sidelines of the Eurasian Youth Economic Forum in Yekaterinburg.
According to TASS, the words of the Argentine diplomat, for two years, since he has held the post of ambassador, work has been underway on this issue. Swain said he wasn’t sure how that entry would play out, but even the BRICS invitation is a big step for Argentina.
Previously, the question of joining the BRICS group had been considered by the Tunisian authorities. July 25 Movement spokesman Mahmoud bin Mabrouk said the issue had been discussed along with other possibilities.
